Quick and simple: Drill bit length adjustment

After re-sharpening the paper drill bits are different in length. For adjusting these differences the paper drilling machine is lowered to the bottom dead centre position and stopped there. This convenient function is availiable only with Dürselen paper drilling machines and systems.

In the bottom dead centre position each paper drill bit can be adjusted to the drilling support without any tools. A micrometer screw is lowered until the tip of the drill bit touches the drilling support. Thus the first drilling stroke after changing of drill bits goes through right to the lowest sheet - no tests, no waste-paper.

The drilling support is just touched by the cutting edge without driving deeply in. This increases the service life of the paper drill bits dramatically.

The easy length adjustment function is part of the stroke and spindle speed control and helps reducing changeover time.
