Extended drill bit service life - no drill bit breakage: Paper drill bit cooling and lubrication

Cooling and lubrication increases the service life of a paper drill bit dramatically and improves the quality of the results.

Lubricated drill bits drive into the pile with less friction. The cutting edge of a cooled drill bit stays sharp for a longer period of time. The lower service temperature avoids sticking together of the sheets.

When drilling difficult materials such as glossy papers or plastic films the drill bit cooling and lubrication is essential. The dosage of the lubricant can be adapted according to the different materials.

Regular processing of sticky materials is supported by the impulse lubrication for internal drill bit lubrication. This feature avoids melting and sticking of the waste inside of the drill bit. The lubricant assists chips to pass readily through the drill bit.
